Read More	John Larry “Dinky” Miles, 83, died Thursday, January 28, 2021, at his home in Coward. Dinky was born on November 3, 1937, in Florence, son of the late Fred and Rosa Lee Miles. He graduated from J. C. Lynch High School and was a member of the Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church. Dinky started his career in sales with C and M Distributing Company of Charlotte, N.C. Even though he succeeded in that field, he eventually moved to fulltime farming in the Coward community for over 40 years. Dinky served as Mayor of Coward for 18 years, was elected for 6 terms to the Florence County Council where he spent 20+ years actively engaged in Florence County and serving as Council Chairman before being appointed as a Magistrate Judge. He loved people and completed over 49 years in Public Service retiring from The State of South Carolina for his civic duty. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Duke Miles and two daughters, Debbie Ham Matthews, and Kay Ham Yarborough.
