Mr. Larson, a retired farmer, was a former resident of the Badger vicinity. Fureral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Grace Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. The Rev Arthur E. Mr. Larson, a retired farmer, was a former resident of the Badger vicinity. Fureral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Grace Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. The Rev Arthur E. Enquist pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery northeast of Badger. Bruces are in charge of the funeral arrangements. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call until 1 P.M. Tuesday. The casket will be taken to the church at that hour and will be open until the time of the service. It will not be open during or following the funeral. Mr. Larson is survived by his wife, the former Anna Peterson and the following children: Mrs Myrtle Askland of Des Moines, Mrs Junis Johnson of Manchester, MN, Mrs Orville Erickson of Badger, Mrs Charles Askland of Boone, Mrs Glen Peterson of Muskegon, MI, Mrs Herbert Griep of Fort Dodge, Mrs Wilbur Jeanblanc of Vincent, Edward Larson of Badger and Mrs Richard Forslund of Fort Dodge. Thirty Four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four brothers, Andrew Larson of Dawson, MN, Martin of Missouri, Sam Larson of Badger and Otto Larson of Fort Dodge, also survive. His parents Mr. and Mrs John Larson; a son, Glenn; and four sisters, two brothers and two granddaughters and one grandson preceeded him in death. Mr. Larson, born Oct 20, 1878 in Odell, IL., moved to farm five miles southeast of Badger with his parents when he was 14. He was married at Badger to Miss Anna Peterson of Badger on Jan 22, 1903. The Larson’s made their home on the family farm until 1943, when they retired and moved into Badger. In 1950 they moved to Fort Dodge. Mr. and Mrs Larson observed their golden wedding here in January 1953. They moved from Fort dodge to the home farm near Badger earlier this fall. Mr. Larson had been ill for a number of months and was hospitalized from Sep 8 until last Saturday, Nov 5. He was moved from the hospital to home of a daughter, Mrs Griep, at that time. When his condition took a turn for the worse Friday morning, he was again taken to the hospital for medicial treatment. Mr. Larson was a member of Grace Lutheran Church He had been ill for a number of months, was in the hospital from September 8, 1955 until November 5, 1955. He was released from the hospital and taken to his daughter Blanche Griep home. He became ill at her home and was taken back to the hospital where he died.
