Description	:	The funeral for John Lawrence Goldade, 74, of Timber Lake was held Friday, Aug. 1, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake with Fr. Kevin Achbach as celebrant. Burial was at the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Oster Funeral home of Mobridge. John died Monday, July 28, 2008, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. Burial was at the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Oster Funeral home of Mobridge. John died Monday, July 28, 2008, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. He was born April 8, 1934, to Joseph and Regina (Holzer) Goldade and grew up on the family farm 16 miles south of Timber Lake. He attended the rural Madson School. On Nov. 8, 1956, John was drafted into the U.S. Army for one year and received an honorable discharge. On Dec. 26, 1956, John married Esther Dahlgren. Together they made their home in Timber Lake and had four children. In September of 1958, he began work at the Clarence Lippert Standard Oil Filling Station, where he worked for nine years. John then started driving milk truck for Ray Benson in 1967, and later bought the trucks in 1973. After he retired, he helped Esther transport meals for the Senior Citizens Center. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Esther of Timber Lake; one son, Lawrence (Debbie) Goldade of Timber Lake; three daughters, Cathy (Craig) Lemburg of Timber Lake, Helen (Tim) Zabel of Lowry, and Renee (Raymond) Andrzejewski of Summerset; three sisters, Elizabeth Selzler, Genevieve (Frank) Selzler and Marian Selzler, all of Mobridge; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Regina Goldade; four brothers, Ferdinand, Joseph, Antone and Leopold; and two sisters, Anna and Johanna. Marlene Biegler and Fauneil Keller were organists for the funeral service. Jake Selzler and Leo Selzler were ushers. Casketbearers were J.J. Goldade, Levi Goldade, Kelli Goldade, Kyrie Lemburg, Clint Lemburg, Gene Zabel, Christopher Zabel, CallieJo Zabel, Samantha Zabel, R.J. Andrzejewski and J.T. Andrzejewski.
