Description	:	After the birth of their 2nd. child John and Viola headed out by covered wagon westward on the Lewis & Clark trail to Clearwater River, Idaho, and settled on a Nez-Perce Indian reservation. John died of a stroke in 1929 and is buried in Chico Cemetery (section 7, row 3, lot 142). Viola died some 26 years later in 1955.
