Description	:	John was the son of John Bradley Whipple and Ellen M Kilmer, one of nine children. His parents were married in Pennsylvania in 1860 and in 1864 his father moved to Jasper County, Iowa. His mother followed in 1865. John was born in Jasper County in 1869. After living in Jasper County for a number of years, the family moved father westward, settling in Audubon County. Read More	John was the son of John Bradley Whipple and Ellen M Kilmer, one of nine children. His parents were married in Pennsylvania in 1860 and in 1864 his father moved to Jasper County, Iowa. His mother followed in 1865. John was born in Jasper County in 1869. After living in Jasper County for a number of years, the family moved father westward, settling in Audubon County. In 1882 they sold their farm and moved to Dakota territory where they homesteaded. They resided there several months when John's mother became ill. They then came to Fremont County by covered wagon, first settling in Hamburg. In a few months they bought a farm northwest of Sidney. John continued to live at this farm, where his parents both died. John's father died in 1911 and his mother died in 1935. John married Ruth Belle Jordan at Sidney on 29 Nov 1893. Ruth was the daughter of John Jordan and Martha Henderson. They had the following (known) children: Ruby L (Morse), Mary E, John Jordan, Clarence C, and Mabel Ruth (Tate.) Ruby died in Sept 1954 at the age of 85 years. John died the following month, Oct 1954, at the age of 85 years 10 days.
