John married Elaine Alt on September 1, 1953 in Columbus. John worked for Lyman Richey Corporation for 30 years as a large equipment operator. He retired in 1991. John also served as a lector, E.M.E., and sang in the Mixed, Funeral and Legion Choirs. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, and the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, rock collecting, and polka music. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Bonaventure Church or donors choice.
