He was born in Killingly, March 24, 1938, son of the late Byron and Susan (Mason) Larkin. He was the husband of the late Marilyn Gallup Larkin who died May 30, 2003. Larkin, 71, of Country Club Road, died Monday at home. He was born in Killingly, March 24, 1938, son of the late Byron and Susan (Mason) Larkin. He was the husband of the late Marilyn Gallup Larkin who died May 30, 2003. Mr. Larkin served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1959. He was a production manager for the former InterRoyal for many years, until its closing. He was a member and former chief of the Attawaugan Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years. He was a former member of the Danielson Rotary Club and played in several softball leagues. He loved the Red Sox and was an avid golfer and fisherman. Mr. Larkin is survived by his daughter Debra Desmarais and her husband Dale of Dayville; three sons, John Larkin and his wife Debra of South Killingly, Bill Larkin and his wife Charlene of Dayville, and Tommy Larkin of Putnam; his twin brother, James Larkin and his wife Dolly of Dayville; his sister Grace Vanasse and her husband Harry of Pineville; ten grandchildren, Neysha, Danielle, Jessica, Darryll, David, Joshua, David, Jarrod, Christopher and Addyson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10 A.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery, Danielson with Full Military Honors. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9 P.M. Published in the Norwich Bulletin on 4/7/2009
