Also published: "Once again the Grim Reaper has appeared and taken from our midst our aged friend and neighbor, John Milton Swink, who passed away, Tuesday, December 5, at his home southwest of Uniontown. Funeral services were held at 2:00, Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Uniontown Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. N. A. Peck, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Pleasanton, assisted by Rev. Williams, who read selected passages of Scripture and led in prayer. Rev. Peck took for his text the words of the Lord the King David, found in Psalms 91-16. Mrs. Irene Cowan and Mr. Robert Morrison sang When I Get to the End of the Way, I Need Thee Every Hour, and Rock of Ages, with Mrs. J. R. Williams at the piano. The pall bearers were five grandsons, Oscar and Roger Swink, Harold Ward, John and James Keith and Virgil Miller. Burial was in the Uniontown Cemetery, beside his wife."
