Dink Reynolds, Harry James and Virgil Shears officiating. Burial was at Bakers Forge Cemetery. He was a coal miner and a farmer. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, flower gardening, studying the Bible and singing in church. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, flower gardening, studying the Bible and singing in church. He was one of the original members of Lick Creek Church of God in Habersham and was a member of the United Mine Workers for more than 50 years. Mr. Wright and his wife, Pearl Daisy Shelby Wright, had been married 57 years before her death in 1969. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jordan, Mrs. Lorene Irwin, Mrs. Naomi Young, and Mrs. Grace Overton, all of LaFollette, Miss June Wright, Mrs. Ruth Zenner, both of Clinton, and Mrs. Johnnie Hoskins, Oak Ridge; four sons, James Wright, LaFollette, Bill Wright, Clinton, Bobby and Woody Wright, Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Kelly Wright, LaFollette; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Carson, LaFollette, Mrs. Sallie Parrott and Mrs. Grace Hopkins, both of Knoxville; 47 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Martin Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to New Hope Children's Home in Jacksboro.
