Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., the late Mr. White had followed the coal mining trade all his life, and previous to coming to Drumheller he had resided at both Lethbridge and Canmore. He was fifty-eight years of age at this death. He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. D.C. Height, Dawson Creek, B.C.; Mrs. C. Spielman, Calgary; Mrs. Wayne Studor, and Mrs. G.D. Brant, of Drumheller; also a son, David, in Chicago. The remains were forwarded from Calgary to Humphries' Funeral Home and the funeral service took place at the First Baptist church on Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. E.V. Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Drumheller cemetery. White (1835-1909) and Isabel Foster (1842-1886). He married Rebecca B. Nelson (1881-1960) on 13 April 1897 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. To this union was born two sons: John N White (1897-1901) and David Mavin White (1900-1955). John and Rebecca's divorce was finalized on 06 September 1902. In about 1906, John relocated to Canada when he met and married Florence Maud Pimm in about 1907. To this union was born four daughters: Florence Isabell, Gertrude May, Myrtle Ruth and Elsie. John, Florence and their children resided in/around Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. A recent attempt to fulfill a headstone photograph request for this interment has been unsuccessful.
