Immigrated to Lonaconing, MD in 1866. Parents of nine children, Ann Rankin, William, Peter Campbell, John, Rebecca, Alexander, James, Margaret and Janet. John was a miner, a founding member of Good Will Volunteer Fire Dept., and from 1900 until his death he was the Postmaster of Lonaconing. He died April 14, 1915 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lonaconing in the McFarland Family plot next to his wife Margaret and his...
