Description	:	John Hoffart, 72, Dies Following Heart Attack John Hoffart, a resident of the Creighton vicinity since 1934, died of a heart attack at his home Friday, April 20, at the age of 72. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Christ Lutheran Church, Bazile Mills. The Rev. Bernard Gorentz, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Milton Gustman, Keith Hoffart, John Weber, Clarence Gustman, Warren Hoffart and Donald Hoffart. Pallbearers were Milton Gustman, Keith Hoffart, John Weber, Clarence Gustman, Warren Hoffart and Donald Hoffart. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Irish, John Meyer, Louis Schlote, William Hinzmann, Joe Fuchtman and Fred Finke. John Michael Hoffart, son of Henry and Barbara Hoffart, was born in Cass County on Nov. 22, 1889. He was confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Plainview in 1900. He married Ida Bertha Kumm on Dec. 19, 1912. Eight children were born to them. Mr. Hoffart lived in the Plainview area until 1924 when he and his family moved to Creighton. He spent the remainder of his life in this vicinity except for five years at Niobrara. For the past several years he had been caretaker at the Creighton city park. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Harold of Coleridge, Wilbert of Lincoln, Vern of Malcolm and Dwain of Bartlett; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Gray of Osmond, Mrs. Gerald (Doris) Ickler of Verdigre, Mrs. Leonard (Elaine) Boggs of Winnetoon and Mrs. Bernard (Lois) Kosek of West Point; 28 grandchildren; three brothers, Henry and William of Plainview and Fred of Foster and two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Elizabeth) Gustman and Mrs. Louis (Marie) Weber of Plainview.
