Description	:	Jackie graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1948 and served as a sergeant in the National Guard from 1947 until 1954. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ronceverte, WV. He retired after 32 years from the United States Postal Service and was a member of the Letter Carriers Union and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was very devoted to community service and won numerous awards, including WVVA Channel 6 Hometown Hero, Elks Lodge Citizen of the Year Award and the Distinguished Citizenship Award.... Jackie was also gifted with a beautiful tenor voice and sang at church, and also in barbershop and gospel quartets, barbershop chorus as well as countless weddings, funerals and special events.
