Description	:	Funeral Services For John O'Hare Sr. - John O'Hare Sr., who resided 3 miles northwest of Schuyler, died June 1, at 91 years of age, after 10 weeks in the hospital. Funeral services which were attended by relatives from Palmer were held at the Schuyler Catholic church Friday morning and interment was made in Roselawn (sic) Cemetery near North Bend. Eight grandsons served as pall bearers. The son of Michael and Margaret Gorman O'Hare, John O'Hare was born in Centralia, Pa., Dec. 17, 1862. When 12 years old he came to Nebraska with his parents who located in the Clyde community. On Dec. 26, 1886, Mr. O'Hare and Annie Gaughen were married at Clyde church. They moved to Nance county in 1918 to a farm northeast of Palmer. In 1933 they moved to Colfax County. Mrs. O'Hare passed away in 1944. He is survived by eight sons, Michael of Kimball, James of North Bend, William and Thomas of Palmer, Ed of Fremont, Clarence of Ackley, Iowa and John and Raymond of Colfax County; four daughters, Margaret, Mrs T. E. Heavican, and Ann of Colfax County, Mayme, Mrs. O. W. Lux of Shelby and Berniece, Mrs. Joe Kodad of Hooper; 34 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; a brother M. J. O'Hare of North Bend and two sisters, Margaret, Mrs. Thos. Kelly of Fremont and Mary, Ms. William Byrne of Rogers. The Palmer Journal, June 10, 1954, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney
