Description : John was born to Nicholas and Elizabeth Olinger. The family migrated to Freeburg, MN. They farmed nearby and John worked as a carpenter. On Feb. 16, 1898, he married a neighbor girl, Mary Becker.
In 1916, his neighnor Val Elsheimer offered to sell him a piece of property in Adams County. John took him up on the offer, moved his family to Wolf Butte section 35. where they made their permanent home. John contacted typhoid fever, and after several days passed away.
