Description	:	John Paul Warfield, 80, died peacefully of complications from Parkinson’s disease at Lorien Mt. Airy, on Monday August 17, 2015. John was born April 7, 1935 to parents J. Paul and Avie Watkins Warfield, who have pre-deceased him. Also deceased are his brothers Joe, Jim and sister Jane. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Bobbie, and his son Mike and wife Kay, daughter Jane and fiancé Mauricio Daza, and their mother Florence Seiders Sipes, son Tom and wife Cathi, son Pat and wife Jody, grandchildren Anthony, Chris, Anna, Claire, Blake, Joel, Trevor, Patrick and Presley, and nieces Joy Warfield and husband Dave Ellis, and Cheryl McDonough and husband Randy, who remained close to him until the end of his life. Also surviving are his loving care-giver and daughter-of-the-heart Amy Vallance, and a very special life-long friend Bob Snapp. John was born on a dairy farm in Boyds, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a State Farm Insurance Agent for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. John’s passions, after his family, were baseball, softball, skiing and golf. The family will receive friends at New Market United Methodist Church, 5501 Old New Market Road, New Market, MD., on Thursday, August 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. With services immediately following. Interment will take place at Clarksburg Methodist Cemetery, 23425 Spires St., Clarksburg, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Damascus Lions Club, P.O. Box 267, Damascus, MD. 20872
