Dunn, retired businessman and civic leader. The Rev. I. E. Shudlick, pastor of the Brighton Presbyterian Church of Zanesville, and the Rev. Alvin Crandell, pastor of the Russellville-Decatur Presbyterian Churches, officiated. Burial was made in Linwood Cemetery under direction of the Knechtly Funeral Home. Mr. Dunn, who was 54, ended his own life by hanging Saturday afternoon. His body was found dangling from a rope in an outbuilding by his widow, Mr. Myrtle Dunn, when she returned home from Georgetown at about 4:30 p.m. A daughter, Beverly, was not aware that her father had ended his life, although she was in the house, nearby. Coroner Dr. George P. Tyler, Jr., pronounced the death a suicide. Friends said Mr. Dunn's health had been failing for many months, that recently he had seemed nervous and despondent. Mr. Dunn operated the Central Store in Russellville from 1939 until two years ago, when he sold out and retired. Before going into business here he was connected with Montgomery-Ward and Kresge in the Milwaukee area. Last winter Mr. Dunn was employed on the Ripley tobacco market as a ticket marker in the Farmers Warehouse. The deceased man was a past president and charter member of the Russellville Kiwanis Club. Until his health failed he was treasurer of the Presbyterian Church for several years. Fraternally, Mr. Dunn was a member of the Masonic Order and the Order of Eastern Star. He also was a Shriner. The deceased man was born and reared here, a son of Elda and Nellie Seip Dunn. Besides his widow and daughter Beverly, he leaves another daughter Mrs. Delores Tucker, of Withamsville, and three sons. They are Phillip, at home; Richard, of Milwaukee, and John of Buchanon, W. Va.
