Description	:	John Philip (JP) was the son and 8th of 13 children to Joel Zolman & Louisa Murphy Zolman. He was married 3 times in his life, first to Viola Bell Levering on 26 December 1876, then to Emily "Addie" Hughes (a few documents listed her incorrectly as Addie Hagar, see family links below) on 29 June 1882 and finally to Mary "Mamie" Leota Level on 7 March 1894. It looks as if JP & his last wife, Mary "Mamie" Leota (nee Level) Zolman, were divorced for JP Zolman did not die until 1929 and there is a marriage listing of Mamie Zolman in 1925 to a Mr. Harry Mitchell of Flat River. See same link above but view page 9 of 9. This might explain why no wives' names were mentioned in JP Zolman's obituary, see link below. JP Zolman was a Justice of the Peace and became known as the "Marrying Justice" with 1,312 couples married in 28 years. His last marriage service just 8 days before his death. He had at least eight children with his three wives. They were: 1) John Willard Zolman of Poplar Bluff, MO {b. 1884} 2) William Edgar Zolman of Farmington. {b. 1886} (Edgar's obit. states Edgar William but JP's obit. and W. Edgar's death certificate lists him as William Edgar.) 3) Angie Lenora "Lena" (nee Zolman) Ebrecht of St. Louis, MO {b. 1888} 4) Elsie (nee Zolman) Yeargain of Farmington {b. 1890} 5) Roscoe A.
