Description	:	**Handwritten: 1953 JOHN PLOSS John Ploss, son of John and Mary Lena Ploss was born June 15, 1880 in Burgentriech, Germany and died January 14, 1953 at the age of 72 years, six months and 30 days. At the age of two he came to this country with his parents, settling near Milton. He was united in marrige(sp) to Bertha Plowman, March 16, 1904 and they made their home near Douds, Iowa where he spent the remainder of his life. To this union were born two children, Van and Verla.
