Description	:	John P. Cameron, 75, Route 4, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in his residence. He was born Nov. 28, 1916, in Defiance County, the son of Virgil And Edna (Drackert) Cameron. In 1938, he married Ruth Lymanstall, who died March 10. He was a farmer before retiring in 1982. He was a 1934 graduate of Jewell High School. Cameron, 75, Route 4, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in his residence. He was born Nov. 28, 1916, in Defiance County, the son of Virgil And Edna (Drackert) Cameron. In 1938, he married Ruth Lymanstall, who died March 10. He was a farmer before retiring in 1982. He was a 1934 graduate of Jewell High School. He was a member of Independence United Methodist Church, Defiance Rotary and Rotary 65. He was a life member of the Defiance County Fish and Game Club and the Defiance County Coon Hunters' Association. He was on the Jewell Grain Elevator board of directors and its past president. He was on the Defiance County Democratic Central Committee and a former Richland township trustee clerk. He was a member of Omega Lodge 154, Defiance Commandery 30 and OC-CO-NOX-EE Council 55. Surviving are a son, Virgil, Lyons; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Rosalie) Harris, and Mrs. Larry (Mary) Leonard, both of Defiance; a sister, Helen Flory, Defiance; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a great-grandson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
