Description	:	"BROADUS -- John P. Jones, 82, of Bell Creek, died Tuesday at Broadus. He was born Nov. 14, 1886 in Toungway, Iowa [sic], the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wally Jones. On Nov. 29, 1913, he married Mabel Lyman in Higbee, Mo. As a young man he was a coal miner at Higbee and in 1916 came to the Bell Creek area, where he was one of the first homesteaders. Survivors include four sons, Denver of Lewistown, Leland of Miles City, Marvin and Johnie, both of Bell Creek; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Sage of Billings, Mrs. Colleen Clements of Gillette, Wyo., and Mrs. Don Waldusky of Whitefish; a sister, Mrs. Harold Smith of Prosser, Wash.; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the First Baptist Church, Broadus, with Rev. Sheldon Helsley officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Broadus."
