He was married to Mary Evelyn Kelley who survives. He was the father of a son, James O Banks who is in the United States Navy stationed at Newport, Rhode Island and a daughter; Mrs, William Tyler, Jr., of Monticello and three grandchildren. One brother, Otis Banks of Monticello and four sisters, Mrs. Maude Barrett, Mrs. Frank Robison, both of Bloomington, Mrs Bruce Dodd of Monticello and Mrs Grace Priest of Martinsville survive. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death. The body is at the Russell and Hitch funeral home in Lebanon and funeral arrangements are in complete pending the arrival of the son from Rhode Island.
