The body of Mr Nix was brought to the Dukes Harley Funeral Home in Orangeburg yesterday afternoon, where it was prepared for burial and then was taken to Brunson, Mr Nix's former home. ------------------- Orangeburg, Sept 23 - Funeral services for John Ray Nix, 30, fatally injured in a highway accident early this morning, will be conducted at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon from Bowers cemetery near Brunson in Colleton County by the Rev J W Middleton. For the pst five months Mr Nix had lived in Columbia, where he had offices as executive secretary to the South Carolina board of barber examiners. For five years prior to that he had operated a barber business in Walterboro. He is survived by his widow, who before marriage was Miss Anderson of Brunson; two small children, John Ray Nix, Jr, and Joyce Nix; his parents, Mr and Mrs John H Nix, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs Pink Harvey, Miss Emily Nix, Miss Hazel Nix, Miss Milly May Nix, Miss Marie Nix, Miss Betty Nix, O P Nix, Johnny Nix and Archie Nix, all of Brunson. He was a Mason, a Knight of Pythian and a member of the Junior Order.
