| Description | : | John Raymond “Ray” Goodwin, the son of Meridith and Ida (Garbison) Goodwin was born March 20, 1896 at Dedham, Iowa. He attended school near his home and he also served in the U.S. Army during World War I. On November 12, 1928, John was united in marriage with Iva Lucille Visner at Pocahontas, Iowa. They farmed in Carroll County, Iowa until 1937 when they moved to Mt. Lake, Minnesota, where they have made their home ever since.
