Description	:	John R. Lauderbaugh, 82, formerly of Kokomo, died at his residence on July 2, 2015 in Fayetteville, Ohio. Mr. Lauderbaugh was born on November 4, 1932 in Kokomo to John Harold and Florence (Pavey) Lauderbaugh. Mr. Lauderbaugh was a graduate of Kokomo High School, and was a veteran of the United States Navy from the Korean War. He was Superintendent of the Kokomo Waste Water treatment plant from 1968 to 1973, Superintendent of Speedway Waste Water Treatment from 1973 to 1978 and he retired after working 19 years as an Operations Manager for CDM. Mr. Lauderbaugh was born on November 4, 1932 in Kokomo to John Harold and Florence (Pavey) Lauderbaugh. Mr. Lauderbaugh was a graduate of Kokomo High School, and was a veteran of the United States Navy from the Korean War. He was Superintendent of the Kokomo Waste Water treatment plant from 1968 to 1973, Superintendent of Speedway Waste Water Treatment from 1973 to 1978 and he retired after working 19 years as an Operations Manager for CDM. During his retirement Mr. Lauderbaugh traveled extensively and spent countless hours enjoying his time with his family. He was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team. His one regret in life was not seeing the Cubs win a World Series. Mr. Lauderbaugh is survived by his son, Eric (girlfriend Patty) of Haymarket, VA; daughters: Laurie (husband John) Illig of Bowie, MD; and Lisa (husband Bernie) Hitchens of Westminster, MD; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his companion of 10 years Joanne Wilson of Fayetteville, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 48 years, Mary (Wrightsman) Lauderbaugh. A memorial service for Mr. Lauderbaugh will be held at 11:00 AM on July 29, 2015 at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 South Webster Street. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on July 28, 2015 at the mortuary. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens on July 29th after the service
