John had worked for the Carnation company for fifteen years, Columbus and Southern Electric Company for 20 years, Township Trustee for twelve years, Highland County Commissioner for twelve Years, John was a member of First Families of Highland County, Highland County Century Club, Highland County Coon Hunters Club, Highland County Historical Society, Highland County Farm Bureau, Fraternal Order of Eagles #1161, Bainbridge American Legion Post # 14, Ohio Township Trustee Association, National Rifleman Association, was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and a Army Veteran serving in WWII. John is survived by two sons, two daughters, grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM , Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Highland County Honor Guard Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
