Description	:	John was the son of Coleman Jennings and Mary Brown of South Carolina. On the 1920 census his birth year was recorded as about 1866 (based on his age being about 54 at the time). His second wife Bessie Robertson (born abt 1878) apparently had a 13 year old brother who was living with them in 1920- William Robertson, born about 1907 (also possible that he was her son due to the 27 year age difference). John died at age 60 due to heart problems. He was widowed at residing at 1711 Walker Street in Augusta. His physician was Dr. W.... [The informant on his death certificate was Leonard Jennings of the same address. Leonard (Feb 1895) may be his son from a previous marriage. They were on the 1900 census with his wife 'Alfer K.' Jennings born in May 1866 and son Bradley Jennings born about October 1893. In 1910 his wife's name appears to be 'Alpha.' John Robert Jennings was living with Leonard and Susie Jennings and her two children from a previous marriage in 1930 in Augusta.] Buried at 'Republican M.E. Church' in McCormick County, South Carolina.
