John was the brother of Charles, Mary Ann, Sarah Jane, Catherine, William H, and Thomas B Ringer. He married Sophia Doughman July 28, 1844 in Clermont County, Ohio. John and Sophia were the parents of Bradford, Lydia M, and Olive Ringer. John was one of the original charter members of SHILOH LODGE, No. 232, I. O. O. F. which was organized at the village of Goshen,... Read More	John S Ringer was born September 1818 and died September 25, 1904 at the age of 86. He was the son of Peter Ringer and Mary Griswold. John was the brother of Charles, Mary Ann, Sarah Jane, Catherine, William H, and Thomas B Ringer. He married Sophia Doughman July 28, 1844 in Clermont County, Ohio. John and Sophia were the parents of Bradford, Lydia M, and Olive Ringer. John was one of the original charter members of SHILOH LODGE, No. 232, I. O. O. F. which was organized at the village of Goshen, March 27, 1854. He was a Noble Grand of the lodge in 1855, 1864, 1866, 1873, and 1877. He was also a charter members of LIVE OAK ENCAMPMENT, I. O. O. F. which was organized June 22, 1874. He was one of two principal officers (Patriarchs) along with P. A. Hall (1875). John was a Justice of the Peace in Goshen Township in the years 1853, 1856, 1860, 1865, 1868, 1871, 1874, and 1877. He was also a Real Estate Agent and Auctioneer in Goshen Township.
