Mr. and Mrs. Slyfield were spending the winter at Bradenton. For 30 years, Slyfield operated the Elk Boat Line here, taking hundreds of visitors annually on conducted boat tours of the Mississippi. The body will be returned McGregor for services and burial. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. R. E. Setterley of Colombia, S. C., and a son, Ensign Jack Slyfield, jr., of the navy air force.
