| Description | : | John Sheltman Shields, 73, of Lexington died on Wednesday of last week, 17 March 1971, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born in Rockbridge County June 11, 1897, the son of the late Orville Shields and Sarah Luette Sheltman Shields. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lois Fultz Shields; one daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Buchholtz of Roanoke; one son, John S. Shields, Jr. of Williamsburg; two brothers, O. E.
