Read More	"The Cambridge City (IN) Tribune, Thursday, Jun 21, 1900 (Reprinted from the Hagerstown (IN) Exponent) John Stamm, an aged citizen, father of Reuben Stamm, died here Friday of heart disease, after a lingering illness. He came to this place from East Germantown about one years ago with his daughter, Miss Anna, who was at all times devoted in her attentions to him, and was tireless in her efforts to do all in her power to make life a pleasure to him. Prior to locating here, he spent some time with his daughter, Mrs. Philip Pipher. the funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Brick church, at which place interment was made. Rev. Lewis Teeter delivered the funeral oration, and read the following obituary: 'John Stamm was born May 17, 1812, in Penn township, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, where he grew to manhood. On December 2, 1932, he was married to Anna Margaret Borry, who died August 11, 1893. To them was born nine children, five sons and four daughters, of whom three sons and four daughters survive him. In 1853, he, with his family, moved to Wayne county, Ind., living in Jefferson and Jackson townships, alternately. Early in life he was baptized into the German Reformed Lutheran church, of which he lived and died a member. Father Stamm was well known in all this country as a harmless and worthy citizen. He died on the morning of the 8th of June, 1900, aged 88 years and 21 days. He leaves three sons and two daughters, with a number of grand and great-grand children to mourn their loss.'"
