He graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army from March 20, 1946, until his discharge on April 12, 1947. He married Marilyn Mae Prochaska on April 30, 1955, at St. MaryÕs Pilsno Church. He was a farmer and worked at Becton-Dickinson and Platte County Agricultural Park until his retirement. He belonged to the church and Eagles Club. Survivors are his wife; two sons, John of Camp Casey, South Korea, and David J. (Erin) of Manhattan, Kan.; three daughters, Debra K. (Kenneth) Dohmen, Michelle M. Boss, all of Columbus, and Christine A. (Shawn) Million of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sisters, Clara (Stanley) Bojan and Marion Matyja, all of Omaha, Rosie (George) Furasek of Weston and Genevieve Konwinski of Columbus; two brothers, Edmond (Dorothy) of Osceola and Valerian (Helen) of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.
