Description	:	Shelburne Free Press & Economist, May 21, 1947, JOHN HARRISON: John Harrison, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Harrison, of Melancthon, passed away suddenly at Nipawin, Sask., on May 5th. He was in his 57th year. He had spent 35 years in the West, where he was employed in lumber construction work. He was a veteran of World War one and served four years overseas with the 128th Battalion, enlisting in Moose Jaw. Many of his old friends and relatives attended the funeral, held from the Gamble Funeral Home, Shelburne, on Monday, May 12th. Rev. H. O. Hutcheson, pastor of Trinity United Church, was in charge of the service. Pallbearers were Messrs. Albert Wrigglesworth, Wesley Higgins, Mr. and Mrs. G. Allen, Bob and June Kitchen; Mrs. T. McBurney (Toronto); Mr. and Mrs. Kiah Walker; Mr. and Mrs. Parkinson; the Pine Lodge staff; The Pine Lodge Hotel (Nipawin); Baskets - Mr. and Mrs. V. Toms, Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. H. Halliday. Interment was made in Shelburne cemetery.
