Mr. Hester married Gertie Derickson (Her name can be found as Georgie, Gertrude, Gertje and Georgiana with surname of Dicksen, Bison.) in Peoria and moved to KS in 1881. Eleven children were born with five dying in infancy and Mrs. Hester died in 1904. The surviving children are Edward and James Hester of Albion township, Mrs. C.W.
