Description	:	John Voss John Voss, 79, long-time resident of the Walnut vicinity, died at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs Monday morning after an illness of one month. He suffered a stroke. Mr. Voss was born in Walnut on June 14, 1874, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Voss. He suffered a stroke. Mr. Voss was born in Walnut on June 14, 1874, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Voss. In later years he took up farming near Walnut, and farmed at Rushville, Neb., about 15 years, after which he returned to Walnut to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Lena Rethwisch, for a number of years. For the past two years he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Sievers, sister and brother-in-law. He is survived by three brothers, Emil of Atlantic, Charlie of Walnut, and Ben, address unknown; two sisters, Mrs. Rethwisch of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Rudolph Sievers of Walnut. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Rieck Funeral Home in Walnut. Rev. J.M. DeBerg was in charge. Pallbearers, all nephews, were Marvin Sievers, Orville Sievers, Vernon Sievers, Arnold Sievers, John Rethwisch and Elmer Voss. Walnut Newspaper
