Description	:	OBITUARY : JOHN W. HACKETT, 79, died Saturday night at 8:30 o'clock at his home at Highfield, Md. He had been ill since Thursday of a heart condition. He was born in Buckingham County, Va., the son of J. P. and Sarah Eliza (Stark) Hackett. Most of his life had been lived in Virginia where he had farmed. He was born in Buckingham County, Va., the son of J. P. and Sarah Eliza (Stark) Hackett. Most of his life had been lived in Virginia where he had farmed. For the last 10 years he had lived at Highfield and for the last six years had been a mail carrier. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Sallie B. (Branch) Hackett and children, Mrs. Elwood Herron, Highfield; Mrs. Roy X. Sherman, Washington, Mrs. Larky Via, Mrs. Frank Teal, Mrs. John Carnick, all of Baltimore; John C. Hackett, Chicago; Mrs. Donald Goad, Staunton, Va.; Harry W. Hackett, Westport, Md. and Mrs. Ray Coyle, Highfield. Twenty-five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren also survive. He was the last of a family of 12 children. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from his home with services from the Bethel Church of God at 11 o'clock in charge of the Rev. Louis Campbell. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call this evening from 7 until 9 o'clock at the home at Highfield.
