Read More	JOHN CRAMER PASSES AWAY AT MILLER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL John Wesley Cramer was born on February 9, 1861 at Mount Hollysprings, Pennsylvania and died at the Miller Memorial Hospital, Chappell, Nebraska, December 26, 1952, aged 91 years, 10 months, 17 days. His early years were spent at his birthplace in Pennsylvania, where he was married to Alice Nahlor and they raised their family of three children. He came to Nebraska and took up farming near Raymond, Nebraska about 1906. He moved to Deuel County in the 20's and he resided on a farm about 12 miles east of Chappell till about 9 years ago when he came to Chappell, where he made many friends among the folks of this community. He spent the last year and a half of his life on a hospital bed, afflicted with paralysis. While in the hospital he was baptized and received into the Mennonite Church. He lived a life of faith and devotion to the Lord and left a bright testimony as he passed peacefully into the next world. He was preceeded in death by his wife Alice and his daughter, Mrs. Maud Williams. He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, William W. Cramer of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jacob A. Cramer of San Jose, California, as well as 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He will long be remembered as a man of temperate habits and kindly, honest and upright character. Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Church on Sunday, Dec. 28, by Fred Gingerich and John Roth.
