Description	:	John Wesley Harvey, Jr., born June 28, 1899. He was the twelfth child of John Wesley, Sr., and Mary (Thompson) Harvey. He married Edna Mildred Childs, June 22, 1919, and they had Roy Weston, Lawrence Calvin, Pauline Virginia, and Nelda Marie. Wesley Harvey was called to the ministry in 1928, ordained in 1928, and advanced to the eldership by Will Cosner in 1943. After serving in the free ministry along with Will Cosner, he became Fairview's first pastor in 1943 serving until 1952. Wesley Harvey was called to the ministry in 1928, ordained in 1928, and advanced to the eldership by Will Cosner in 1943. He and Edna moved to Dayton, Ohio, where they were active in the Grace Brethren Church, helping to build both the church and congregation at Kettering. They retired on their home farm. Wesley Harvey, Jr., 82, Oakland, died Friday in the Garrett County Memorlal Hospital. Born in Wilson, he was a son of the late Jolm Wesley Harvey. Sr., and Mary Thompson Harvey. His first wife, Edna M. (Childs) Harvey preceded him in death. He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church, Kettering, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn (Lantz) Spiker Lewis Harvey; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Cooper, Oakland; Mrs. Nelda McNeil, Columbia; two sons, Roy W. Harvey, Newport News, Va.; Lawrence C. Harvey, Lantana, Florida; two step-daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Gnegy, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Laura Wilt, Mt. Lake Park; a step-son, Harold Spiker, Mansfield, Ohio; 10 grand-chjldren: 11 step-grand-children; 14 great-grand-children; and 15 step-grand-children. Friends were received in the Stewart Funeral Home. Services were conducted in the Fairview Church of the Brethren on Monday morning with Rev. David Moon officiating.
