Description	:	John Wesley Linebrink, 88, retired farmer, and former painting contractor died Monday at 9:20 a.m. in Defiance City Hospital where he had been a medical patient since Jan. 6. He had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Wade L. (Gladys) Stever, 1024 Jefferson Ave., since the death of his wife on Oct. 5, 1955. Friends will be received at the Mansfield-Mast Funeral Home, Defiance. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. John Wesley Seay, St. Paul's Methodist minister, assisted by the Rev. D. V. Whiteneck, pastor of the Methodist Church, Evansport. The... Linebrink, a son of Henry and Sarah (Deepe) Linebrink was born in Tiffin township on March 14, 1872. He was married on Sept. 30, 1896, to Sarah Garber who died Oct. 5, 1955. He was a member of St. John's Methodist Church where he was Sunday School superintendent, and later transferred his membership to the Methodist Church in Evansport where he also served as Sunday School superintendent. He had been a Tiffin township trustee and a member of the school board. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Stever, he leaves two sons, Ira, 415 Tacoma Ave., Defiance and Orval, Columbus; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother are deceased.
