Description	:	Son of William Washington and Lutilda (Davis) McKinney. ------------------------------ John Wesley McKinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. William McKinney, was born December 9, 1852, on a farm 8 miles northwest of Knox City, Mo. and passed away at his home in Moulton, Wednesday, April 6, 1938. He was 86 years, 3 months, and 26 days old. Mr. McKinney had been in poor health for the last few years, but was confined to his bed only since Thursday, March 31, a stoke of paralysis being the cause of his last illness. Read More	Son of William Washington and Lutilda (Davis) McKinney. ------------------------------ John Wesley McKinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. William McKinney, was born December 9, 1852, on a farm 8 miles northwest of Knox City, Mo. and passed away at his home in Moulton, Wednesday, April 6, 1938. He was 86 years, 3 months, and 26 days old. Mr. McKinney had been in poor health for the last few years, but was confined to his bed only since Thursday, March 31, a stoke of paralysis being the cause of his last illness. John McKinney united with the Christian church of Moulton, a number of years ago. He was a regular attendant until in recent years when ill health kept him away. He was a good man and was faithful to his belief. He bore his suffering with great patience. He was united in marriage to Miss Delia Pedigo in early manhood. To this union four children were born; William, Roy, Minnie and Tilda Jane, all of whom preceded him in death. In 1893 he was married to Miss Eva Hatfield and to this union 5 children were born: Rosetta, Lillie, Oscar, Roscoe and Marjorie, all of whom mourn his death. He had two brothers: William and Richard, and one sister, Driscilla, all of whom preceded him in death. There are 23 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 9, 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ, in Bible Grove, Mo., services being in charge of Rev. Hugh C. Guy, pastor of the Moulton Christian church. Mrs. Otis Blaine, Mildred, Carl and William Blaine, of the Bible Grove Community, sang, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," "Face To Face," and "Going Down The Valley."
