Mr. Foust died at Mercy hospital at Anamosa, last Sunday morning, following a major operation for hernia. His condition proved very serious, and he gradually weakened until he was claimed by death on Sunday. Mr. Foust was a son of Michael Foust, who resides in Scotch Grove at the present time. He was 44 years of age at the time of his death. He was born in Scotch Grove township. He was married 23 years ago at Onslow, to Miss Bess Overly, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Overly. There was one son born to this union. Marlin, age 11 years, who together with his mother survive Mr Foust. During the early part of their married life, Mr. and Mrs. Foust lived in the vicinity of Anamosa. During the past 12 years they have resided on a farm near Springville. The funeral services were held last Tuesday afternoon, and were in charge of Rev. Elges, the pastor of the Springville Presbyterian church. Burial was had at Oakwood cemetery near Monticello.
