Description	:	John (Jay) William Goins THOMASVILLE — Mr. John (Jay) William Goins, 79, of Thomasville, passed away at Hinkle Hospice Home on Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born on October 20, 1935, in Surry County, to John Abe Goins and Mary Jane Berrier Goins. He worked for Thomasville Furniture Industries for 35 years and served in the U. S. National Guard. John was a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended Crossover Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene Adkins, Louise Minton, Mary Margaret Hodge, and Elsie Mabe; and brothers, Cecil Goins... Read More	John (Jay) William Goins THOMASVILLE — Mr. John (Jay) William Goins, 79, of Thomasville, passed away at Hinkle Hospice Home on Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born on October 20, 1935, in Surry County, to John Abe Goins and Mary Jane Berrier Goins. He worked for Thomasville Furniture Industries for 35 years and served in the U. S. National Guard. John was a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended Crossover Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene Adkins, Louise Minton, Mary Margaret Hodge, and Elsie Mabe; and brothers, Cecil Goins and Dale Goins. On October 22, 1955, he married Faye Joyce Matthews Goins, who survives of the home. Also surviving are his son, Randy Goins of Thomasville; sisters, Yvonne Snow of Jacksonville, FL, Faye Tutterrow and Nelda France, both of Mt. Airy; brother, Kenneth Goins and wife Gail of Mt. Airy; sisters-in-law, Dianna Segers and Diane Bunn, both of Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in J. C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Darrell Love officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of the son, 774 Ben Lee Road Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Online condolences may be sent to the Goins family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
