Description	:	Cherokee Sentinel, April 28, 1922, page 1: Wm. Rush Dead Will Rush died at Carthage, Mo., Monday after a lingering illness. His remains were brought here and funeral services held at the Methodist church yesterday afternoon by Rev. E.L. Torrence and interment was made in the Cherokee cemetery. Of the Rush family there is now left only Mrs. Rush and Allen. William J. Rush, son of Alfred and Sadie Rush, was born in Clark County, Kansas, Dec. 28, 1886. Rush, son of Alfred and Sadie Rush, was born in Clark County, Kansas, Dec. 28, 1886. The family moved soon after to Cherokee, Kansas where he grew to manhood and was married to Jessie F. Wilson February 24, 1909. To this union two children were born, one having died in June, 1911. In 1917 he moved to Webb City, Mo., where he was engaged in the mining business. During the past four years he had lived in Kansas City where he was interested in the manufacture of Electrical heating devices. He died at Carthage, Mo., April 24, 1922, at the age of 35 yrs, 3 months and 26 days. There are left to mourn his death his wife, Jessie and son, Wilson, 12 years of age, and his mother and brother, Allen. Cherokee Sentinel, May 5, 1922, page 6: Another obit was printed, containing the same information as the previous one, but adding that his death at Carthage, Missouri, was at the home of an uncle, Homer Mort. This obit was signed "A Friend." Above contributed by Cheryl White NOTE J. William 'Will' Rush died from complications of valvular heart disease according to his Missouri Death Certificate. Burial was under the direction of the Knell Undertaking Company in Carthage.
