JT John Work, son of Andrew and Julina Work, was born April 28, 1856, and passed away Dec. 24, 1937, being at the time of his death 81 years and 8 months of age. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 1 sister. He was united in marriage to Milinda Rose Boestler in 1896 who passed away in 1911. To this union one son was born Forrest Work of Cantril. JT John Work, son of Andrew and Julina Work, was born April 28, 1856, and passed away Dec. 24, 1937, being at the time of his death 81 years and 8 months of age. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 1 sister. He was united in marriage to Milinda Rose Boestler in 1896 who passed away in 1911. To this union one son was born Forrest Work of Cantril. He was united in marriage to Isabel Perkins, May 10, 1915, who with the son is left to mourn his loss. He was a member of the Christian Church at Cantril and also a member of the I.O.O.F lodge. Uncle John, as he was known by everybody, was a friend of everyone, especially the children as he was janitor of the school for 14 years. Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, A.M. Hadley on Sunday afternoon at the Cantril Christian Church. A large congregation gathered to pay tribute to their friend and neighbor. The pallbearers were Wm. Kisling, Chauncy Creath, Wm. Jack, Frank Roberts, Ira Creath and Cunningham. Cleda Wellborn and Tressa Price sang, with Vera Davis at the piano. Burial was in the Hoskin cemetery. 25 Apr 2017
