(page 3) JOHNNIE CALVIN KEENER Johnnie Calvin Keener, son of Leonard and Mabel Keener, was born September 12, 1896, near Glasco, Kansas, and passed away July 29, 1942, at the age of 45 years, 10 months and 17 days. On March 26, 1919, she was united in marriage to Essie Marler. To this union was born one son, Johnnie Junior. He with his family lived on the old Keener farm until 1931 at which time they moved to Glasco to operate the Standard Oil Station. For the past six years he has been in Florida and Texas. At the time of his death he was manager of the Bauman Oil station at Amarillo, Texas. He leaves to mourn their loss, his widow, one son, Johnnie Junior Keener; two brothers, Lester Keener of Wichita, and Millard Keener of near Delphos. Besides the immediate family he leaves other relatives and a host of friends. He was always a good neighbor and ready to help in time of need. Funeral services were held in the Lott & Stine Funeral Parlors on Saturday, August 1, 1942, in Glasco, at 7:30 p.m., Rev. R.R. Braddick officiating. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
