Ronnie Neely officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Born in Fort Mill, Jon was a son of the late Charles Pruitt Blankenship and Sadie Kimbrell Blankenship. He graduated from Fort Mill High School and attended Clemson University and Wofford University. Jon was a retired postmaster from the U.S. Postal Service and was a very active member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where he and his wife taught Children's Sunday School Class. Jon was a S.C. Auctioneer, a wedding director, and a golf pro at the Fort Mill Golf Club. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Phyllis Raby Blankenship; his children, Christy Blankenship of Rock Hill and Jon A. Blankenship (Michelle) of Fort Mill; his sister, Mary Moss of Richburg; and five granddaughters, Olivia, Maria, Abby, Ellie and Ava. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Blankenship; and his sister, Jane Whitley.
