Description	:	Sims, Ind., March 24 - Tribune Special- Jordan Shaw, age 89, died at 4:20 o'clock this afternoon at his home near Sims, where he had lived for many years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Laura Bryant of Swayzee, Mrs. Bert Bryant of Greentown and Mrs. Belle at home; also three sons, Perry and Howard Shaw of Miami county and Marion Shaw of Illinois. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church of Swazyee, followed by burial in Crown Hill cemetery. The hour of the funeral has not been decided definitely but probably will be 1:00 or 1:30. JORDON SHAW is a native of Henry County, Ind., and was born in 1843. His father, John Shaw, is a native of North Carolina, and his mother, Sally (Miller) Shaw, was born in Indiana. The subject of this sketch was reared on a farm and stayed at home until he was seventeen years of age. His mother died when he was about two years of age. Mr. Shaw was married, July 23, 1864, to Miss Sarah C. Shockly. This union has been blessed by nine children - Laura, Perry, Lut, Rolly (deceased), Albedy, Marion, Arabell, Howard E. and John B. Mr. Shaw came to Howard County in 1873 and bought his farm in the native state, and now has it well improved and under good cultivation.
