Description	:	Nebraska Pioneer Dies at Son's Home In Wray  Joseph A. Blanchard died at midnight sunday August 29, 1915 at the home of his son Cosie Blanchard in Wray. The deceased came to Wray the Friday before his death having accompanied his son home from Eagle, Nebraska. Mr. Blanchard had been called back to his father's home a couple of weeks ago by his illness.  The father had been suffering several weeks with an attack of Bright's disease but upon their arrival here was feeling better. Blanchard died at midnight sunday August 29, 1915 at the home of his son Cosie Blanchard in Wray. The deceased came to Wray the Friday before his death having accompanied his son home from Eagle, Nebraska. Mr. Blanchard had been called back to his father's home a couple of weeks ago by his illness.  The father had been suffering several weeks with an attack of Bright's disease but upon their arrival here was feeling better. He arose Sunday morning and ate breakfast but was taken sick soon after and never recovered, passing away as above reported.  The son took the remains back to Eagle for burial and the funeral services were held there yesterday. The deceased was 69 years, 9 months, and 3 days old at the time of this death. He was born in Vermont and came to Nebraska forty seven years ago. He took a homestead upon his arrival fourteen miles east of Lincoln and still owned it. He is survived by two sons. Rev . [this should be Dr.] George Blanchard of Pomona, CA and Cosie Blanchard of this county. The latter's many friends sympathize with him and his family in their bereavement.
