Devoted husband of the late Nellie Seminoff Gregory; caring father of Joseph (Greta), Richard (the late Anita) and Robert; beloved grandfather of Mark (Camille) Gregory, Denise Gregory, David (Hien) Gregory, Janelle (Greg) Miller and the late Robbie Gregory; son of the late Margaret Halloran Gregory and Joseph Gregory; brother of the late Walter Halloran and Raymond Gregory; dear great-grandfather of Spencer and Sophia Gregory. Joseph was born and raised in San Francisco. In his early years he worked with his father as a roofer. Following this he became a commercial fisherman for a time, dealing mainly with clams from China Camp region of Marin County. He was also very proud of his experience as an ironworker with Local 377 Ironworkers Union. During WWII he was employed by Soule Steel Co. in transporting landing barges. Later his work turned to the laundry business where he managed the Mt. Zion Hospital laundry for many years. This eventually led to his position as a representative for the Laundry Worker's Union until his retirement. He was skillful and clever at many trades but turned to making small abstract paintings in his later years and loved sharing these with everyone. Always by his side was a loyal pet dog. Joseph was a member of John Daly Senior Club. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. Burial to follow at Russian Sectarian Cemetery, Daly City. Donations maybe made to a charity of your choice
