Description	:	Joe Beslanowitch, 84 of Billings, passed away Thursday morning, March 25, 1993 at the Deaconess Medical Center. Joe was born on Jan. 27, 1909, the son of Frank and Catherine Beslanowitch in Billings. He was raised in Billings and attended school in Laurel. Following his education, he farmed for a short while before beginning work for the Economy Grocery Store in Laurel. On Sept 5, 1932, Joe married Louise Mitchell in Laurel. Joe was born on Jan. 27, 1909, the son of Frank and Catherine Beslanowitch in Billings. He was raised in Billings and attended school in Laurel. Following his education, he farmed for a short while before beginning work for the Economy Grocery Store in Laurel. On Sept 5, 1932, Joe married Louise Mitchell in Laurel. In 1933, they moved to Billings where Joe began working for City Food until opening Joe's Market at its original location of 1115 Third St. W. in 1945. The family operated that store until moving to its present location at 909 Fourth St. W. Joe continued working at the store until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Elks Club and the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Louise of Billings; one son, Jim and his wife, Jean of Billings; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Walter in 1977. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at michelotti-Sawyers & Nordquist with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
